Do you find it difficult to achieve success in both career and marriage? When you succeed at one, the other suffers? Of you feel torn between the two? You don't have to choose - you can maintain balance and achieve fulfillment and success in both areas.

Being an entrepreneur and business owner, I've researched, studied and tried many different strategies that catapult one to success in both business and mastery of life. It's all in the little things. They all are interchangeable, meaning, what will help you be successful in life in general, will help you maintain balance so your marriage is happier as well. Some are basic common sense, others, like trashing my to-do list, have been eye-opening. I’ll tell you what I've learned and put into practice with great success.

These strategies will help you accomplish more in a day, they’ll help you manage time more efficiently, reduce stress, and boost creativity - all which will make you more successful in every area of life, including your relationship. Because, without organization, structure, and excellent daily routine, your relationship will suffer. Adopt these tips and your business, relationship, and life success will soar.

Quality Sleep

  • Get plenty of sleep each night. The latest sleep studies show most people require 7-8 hours of sleep per night.

  • Wake and arise at the same time together every day (if possible).

  • Have a nighttime routine and plenty of relaxation before turning in.

  • EMF (electro-magnetic frequency, produced by cell phones and other devices) is unhealthy to have near you while sleeping. It has negative effects on the brain and can prevent you from entering the deep sleep stage necessary for body and mind restoration and repair. Place your cell phone, alarm clock, computer, and any other EMF device at least 5 feet away from your body when you sleep. Trust me, it makes a difference.

Develop a Morning Routine

  • Prayer

  • Meditation

  • Exercise

  • Stretching

  • Journaling

  • Quiet time for yourself

  • Enjoying hot tea or coffee

Set Aside 2-3 Hours In The Morning

  • Schedule 2-3 hours first thing every morning to get your most important work done. Eliminate as many distractions as possible, don't check emails during this time, put your phone away, and focus on the task at hand. After you complete the must-haves for the day, you are freed from a great amount of stress, get more done, and this helps boost creativity.

Take Care of Your Body

Don't skip nutritious meals

Hydrate with water

Exercise daily, even if it's a quick 15 minute walk outside for fresh air and body/brain oxygenation

Grab 10-15 minutes of sunlight daily

Trash Your To-Do List

  • Create a to-do list, but instead of repeatedly turning to it to check things off, put things on your calendar instead. I've been doing this for a while and have been amazed at how I am more productive, get things done faster, waste less time, stress less, and end up with more free time.

Keep And Idea Notebook

  • When you think of things that need to get done or have ideas, immediately log it in your notebook (hardcover notebook or notebook app in your phone - that's what I use). Check your notes at the end of each day and put them into action: put to-do's on your calendar, set the meeting, etc.

Schedule Time For Emails and Social Media

  • Schedule 2-3 times per day to check and respond to emails and do social media work. Scheduling this time is freeing, manages your time better so you're more productive, and reduces stress.

Create Alone Time

  • Allow daily time alone, especially if you're an introvert. This could be time to brainstorm, read, go to the gym, spend time with a friend, or participate in one of your favorite hobbies. You must take time to be apart to nourish yourself.

Have Daily Connection

  • Make time daily for your spouse & family. This helps ground, support, and connect you. Connection is vital for a balanced life.
