Men Are Like Dogs:

Dogs demonstrate the qualities we associate with masculine energy. Dogs are playful, full of energy, and always up for a good romp. They’re eager for a good time. When playing with a dog, they are hot-blooded, focused and goal oriented.

When you meet a pup for the first time, they quickly greet you with an inquisitive sniff and slobbery kiss. Anyone can pet him. It won’t be long before Fido is bellied-up at your feet, offering his tummy and begging for a good rub-down. (“Woof… please rub my belly… please… please rub me!!)

When playing with Fido, he zeros in on the frisbee you throw and exerts sheer determination to run, leap, and grab it - all for pure enjoyment. When dogs pursue a hot scent, there is nothing that can deter them - they want what they want.

Women Are Like Pussycats: Cats demonstrate the qualities we associate with feminine energy. If you wish to befriend a new little kitty, you must approach her with caution, allowing the kitty to warm up to you. You must first rub around the ears, then the cheeks, maybe even under the chin. Then, and only AFTER her motor is purring, can you go in for the belly rub.

If she’s not warmed up to you and you quickly grab her or go straight for her belly, you’ll likely get scratched, hissed at, and maybe even bitten. HISS!!! She’ll remember this for a LONG time and will be weary of your next encounter together. With your feline friend, you cannot exert force or impatience - you must go slow, precede with caution, and slowly warm up your sweet kitty to turn her into a puddle of purring pussycat.

*Sexually speaking, do you see similarities between dogs and men, cats and women?Men are usually eager for sexual encounters with their mate - anywhere and anytime. Women on the other hand need to be warmed up, emotions in a positive place, and things have to be 'just right'.

*The point - know yourself and know your spouse. These are innate traits in men and women. Now this, of course, doesn't represent ALL men or ALL women (there is always an exception and that is normal), but generally speaking, men are always primed and ready for a body-connection where women need a heart-connection first. Make sense?

*What to do with this information? Realize that there is nothing ‘wrong’ with your spouse because they are different from you (or different from the norm). Exercise patience and understanding. The goal is not to be just like your spouse in every way or to make them be the way YOU want them to be, rather, accept them as they are, embrace your differences, use those differences to be playful, to create a fun and beautiful connection, and enjoy one another through the process.
